We "harvested(?) our garden

Except our potatoes are still growing

and then our abundance of cucumbers

This tomato plant was growing in our gravel drive and Jason dug it up and stuck it in the garden and its still growing and doing great!
We baked the corn (Pinterest suggestion) it wasn't too good.. we aren't sure if the corn wasn't picked soon enough or this method was a fail

My in-laws gave us Zucchini..
of course I tried another Pinterest "suggestion"
FAIL!

But the fried zucchini I didn't get a pic of was YUMMY!

Think we made enough no bake cookies? lol

We are getting closer..

I just registered Kobe for school on the 24th..
School starts in a few weeks!!
Summer has FLEW by, too fast!!
I feel bad that we didn't get to do everything I had planned to do this summer but I have a job this summer which stinks only because we couldn't go and do like we usually do but thats okay.. we managed lol.

We finally got to go school supply shopping! Kobe's list was pretty simple this year except he needed a ruler. I don't know why but that just seems like a "big kid" thing.. I mean he is 7 1/2 he's becoming a big kid and it makes me sad.. 2nd Grade seems soo old too lol

We had a great time shopping though. Check out these awesome shoes he picked out from Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has stepped up their game and have gotten lots of cool stuff in.. They even carry FUBU. Plus I refuse to pay a lot for Kobe shoes because he is SO hard on them. He'll have to go through another pair if not 2 more before the school year ends.. and I know your thinking well buy name brand and they will last longer.. WRONG! He's had Sketchers, Nikes, Pumas, New Balance, Adidas, you name it he's had them and they last just as long as these $15 Wal-Mart shoes

I tried to get him to get a pair of "boat shoes" as I call them.. like the knock off Sperry's ya know like these
To wear with his khaki's shorts and stuff.. when I showed them to him he looked at me with this *Are you freaking kidding me* look and says "Uuuhhh no (how Si off Duck Dynasty says it), I can't wear my camo with shoes like THAT" hahahaha if I didn't know better I'd think he was Jason's biological son lol.. so needless to say we didn't get the Sperry knock offs..

Speaking of him and his camo.. that's the theme of his school supplies this year..

RealTree and Mossy Oak folders, camo pencil pouch, camo ruler, camo scissors
even camo clothes lol.. although check that shirt out.. he didn't buy this for the camo he bough it because it talked about the Lord. This child has a love for him that makes a mother proud. We don't go to church on a regular basis like we need to and now since we moved we have a Catholic church a few doors down but I'm not Catholic and then we have a Mennonite church down the road but I'm not that either same for the Amish church behind our house so we'd have to make a drive. I wish there was a church closer to us. But I love that Kobe still has such a strong love for him.

Speaking of the Lord, Heaven got a wonderful lady on July 23rd. Jason's grandma passed away. I love her. She was so funny and reminded me sooo much of my Great Grandma Hobson both her personality and looks. I'll always remember The first day we met. Jason couldn't wait for me to meet his grandparents.. I was a nervous wreck.. I'll always remember she kept talking about how pretty I was :) We bonded quickly and we always ganged up on Jason and teased him.. she always told me how I was good for him and someone needed to straighten him out lol.. I'm glad she felt I was the one to do the job lol.. the next couple days are going to be hard..

I secretly snapped this precious pic of Jason and his Grandpa chatting.. sorry baby I know your reading this but it was too good to pass up ;)

Its THAT time of year again...

MY FAVORITE time of year.. Back to School! Not because my child is driving me crazy as you might think.. even though last week I was about to go CRAZY and reminding myself how many days were left of summer. My reason is because I've always loved school supply shopping.. I was totally bummed my senior year because it was going to be my last year school supply shopping.. Then when you have kiddos you get to do it all over again! Last week we went with my parents to E-ville to my dad's appointment for his carpel tunnel surgery. We had a good day.. we went to Dick's Sporting Good's and TJ MAXX in between appointments.. Then after the 2nd appt we headed to Golden Corral to eat Lunch.. it was so yummy!  Then we headed to Toy's R Us.. while we were there they were having a special on backpacks.. It was buy any backpack starting at $12.99 and get a free lunchbox ($10 value) I thought that was too good to pass up.. so Kobe picked out this awesome set

As soon as I get another child support payment (whenever that will be) we are going school clothes shopping in E-ville.. TJ MAXX had so many clothes I wanted to get Kobe.. but funds were tight. I fell in love with a back pack at Dick's but when I saw the price tag I put it back on the rack and stepped SLOWLY away from the $107.00 back pack!!! YEH isn't the ridiculous?!?!
Anywho.. as soon as we get our school supply list I'll get to enjoy the school supply shopping..

We had a pretty relaxing weekend.. Jason had to work Saturday so Kobe and I cleaned the house and hung out in our jammies then decided to go out and swim.. Well kinda..I've never been in our pool yet...and Me being the chicken I am started up the ladder to the pool and got to the top and went in to a panic attack?! It was like I froze and didn't know what to do once I got up there.. I was sad and aggravated at myself for being like that.. especially seeing my son bummed because Mommy wouldn't get in with him because she has serious anxiety issues.. he kept saying "com'on mom, face your fears", "You can do it, I know you can" as I sat in the lawn chair watching him swim and bummed because I wanted to be in there and I attempted it several more times and just couldn't do it.. So when Jason got home I was telling him about it and you know him, being the supporting hubby he is, he teased me lol.. So today I asked him to help me.. so when I got to the top he held my hand until I got situated and felt secure to make the move and I did it..Kobe cheered and I was so happy to be in there with him too.. I wasn't too nervous about the time to get out until he wouldn't give me his hand and made me do it on my own and I was fine.. I "faced my fear" as Kobe said.. Isn't it ridiculous that I couldn't even climb a 3 foot ladder?? I don't know if I'm afraid of heights? or the flimsy ladder? or the fear of falling? or all of the above? but its silly and I hate having anxiety.. I have started back on my meds thank the good Lord.. hopefully that will be getting better!

Some of us shoulda wore sunscreen lol
Anyhow.. back to our lazy weekend...
Saturday night we had Chicken Fajitas for dinner.. first time I've ever made them.. Actually first time I've ever had them.. They were a hit with my guys! Kobe even liked them.. I'm sure we'll be having them again sometime.
Today I was woke up at 7:30am by a hungry Kobe who couldn't pour his milk in his cereal because it was a new jug of milk..(yes he's a self sufficient child) so I got up and helped him and then just stayed up... got a bath and dressed then Kobe and I rode the 4-wheeler while Jason mowed.. then after that Jason cleaned to pool and then we all got in the pool and spent like an hour and half in there playing games and trying to teach Kobe how to swim.. we had a good time.. we had soup and grilled cheese for dinner! 80-90 degree weather and we are having soup lol it tasted good though and was quick and easy... Now to get ready for bed and face a new week..

Lost tooth #2

Kobe finally lost tooth #2 today! I thought maybe he wasn't supposed to even lose the first one because one day it wasn't loose and then the next day it was lol. I just "knew" he did something to make it loose lol. Then after another tooth wasn't coming in I was scared because the first tooth he lost had such a long root on it.. I thought that was odd.. I don't remember mine having roots like that.. I was afraid those were gonna be the only teeth he has.. I was relieve to see last week a tooth has finally popped through..

Then today when he lost #2 it had long roots too and the new tooth is already coming in.. I worry to much lol I was afraid he was going to have to have dentures at the age of 7 lol.. (not really)

This is the side view of his tooth.. see that root on there? Is this normal? I think I'll google it.. Google knows best! Right?!

Oooh Its the middle of JULY!

Here it is the middle of JULY and I'm playing "blog catch up"go figure! First off I now have Internet at our house WOOHOO!!! This makes me very happy.. It doesn't take much ;) Hopefully I wont have to wait so long in between blogs now.. Now onto some catch up..

A big announcement:
I will have my first nephew coming the end of November.. My sister is having a baby.. I'm sooooo excited and I can't wait til he's here..
Noah Joshua
So I'm not planning a baby shower for him and hims mommy!
How fun right? I love party planning and I love babies so this is like the best thing ever!!

We celebrated Father's Day..

Here is Kobe picking out a FD card for Jason.. it took him forever to pick one out.. He wanted him to have "the most special one" there was.. We didn't have a get together for some reason.. but we did take my dad to his favorite breakfast spot which is Shoney's.. it was really good.. then we headed to Rural King and spent hours in there. For father's day we got Jason a new hunting knife.. like he needed one lol he's got a ton but Kobe insisted he needed a new one, we got him a gun case for his pistol..

Jason's Sister Sarah got married back in June.. She lookes BEAUTIFUL! The wedding was perfect. the reception hall looked gorgeous.. it was all around a good night.. The kiddos were in the wedding looking adorable as ever! Here is Miss Mikayla  in her dress her Aunts made her.. She looked adorable even though she was "so itchy" as she kept telling me lol..
How CUTE are these kiddos! They did sooo good in the wedding and were so well behaved I was proud of them..

Look at these two pretty PRINCESSES hahaha.. We both agreed that day we were Princesses and now I look at this pic and I can see why we think that.. even though my boob looks like its falling out in this pic.. but I love this pic with this sweet baby girl..
Then there is this handsome dude who I love more than words can describe.. He thought he looked pretty good that day and didn't want to change out of that outfit lol
Awww our little family!!

Kobe is about to wrap up his summer reading program at the library.. I'm so proud of him.. He did the whole program.. he even did the "extras" to get extra tickets to win prizes..

The End of June we celebrated my parents 35th wedding Anniversary ..35 year is such a big accomplishment.. anymore.  We got them this swing that Mom has always wanted..
as you can see our model lol Mom loves it...

Our Garden is doing ok.. we had some green beans.. not enough to mess with.. But we do have ears on our corn.. and some cucumbers.. our potatoes and onions look to be doing ok.. we'll see though..

We finally made it into the "Get your mailbox smashed Club"

We celebrated the 4th of July at our house.. Jason grilled BBQ chicken on the grill, the weather was perfect we even got to sit around the fire while we waited for fireworks.. when it started to get dark Jason let off fireworks ... we bought a big pack thinking we had good ones.. come to find out they were all fountains.. oh well the kids loved them.. Our neighbors however had awesome fireworks.. after every one left our house we took our lawn chair and sat in our front yard with our neighbors and watched the other neighbors fireworks.. They had some big and awesome fire works and the finale (sp?) was better than most I've seen...

We surprised Kobe with a trip to Wal-Mart  to get a new bike!!

We Celebrated Jessica's (Adam's GF) 25th Birthday with a cook out at their new house..
We went blackberry picking.. well the guys did the most pickin.. but we got enough to make a couple cobblers ;)

That's about it for now.. hopefully it wont take too long to update again.. my 30th birthday is coming up.. Waaaah.. I don't wanna be 30.. doesn't that sound so OLD!!!! Oh well until next time..
