Miss Olivia Grace turned 8 on March 22nd.. We had a cook out at her house!

This cake was DELICIOUS a local girl made it and its was White Chocolate Chip cake with vanilla butter cream icing. The icing I kid you not was and inch thick.....

The Colvin Coop

The Colvin Coop is finally up and ready!! I changed my blog name to "The Colvin Coop" awhile ago because I knew chickens were in our future soon... and I thought the name was cute and catchy! So here are the pics of the process!

My Grandpa Solliday gave us his old dog kennel which was PERFECT for the chicken run.

We got 4 (Brown) egg layers and 10 fryers We are planning on getting a chicken that lays easter eggs too.. just for fun lol and for the eggs! :)

We will be selling them too so look fwd to Fresh eggs :)

Now I won't have to borrow an egg from the neighbor when I'm short one when I'm cookin lol ;)

8 yr check up!

 Kobe had his 8yr old well check Thursday. He is 4ft tall and weighs 65lbs for right now. I say right now because he is "FOS" as Doc K says. "FOS"?? Yeh, That stands for Full Of Shit. He literally is. Every time this happens he'll gain weight and its because he's full of poop. Once he's cleaned out he'll lose that weight he put on. I'm not sure if I've ever blogged about this or not but Kobe has had issues with constipation ever since I started potty training him at age 2. He'll be fine going like normal on the potty then he'll go a few days with out pooping and then one day he'll have an accident in his pants. Sad part is he doesn't even know he had the accident. Its like a leakage from the blockage.. Then several days go by and its more and more so then we'll have to clean him out with Mirlax, Milk of Magnesium, or something. Once he's cleaned out he'll be fine but then the vicious cycle comes back. Doc K wants me to give him Mirlax everyday. That he needs it daily. I'm going to buy Fiber One bars/Cereal too and get him some high fiber foods and see if that helps. We've already decreased his milk and cheese intake. If all this doesn't work then I'm going to ask Doc K to looking into maybe a food allergy like Gluten or something that may be clogging him up. Or if worse comes to worse send us to a Gastrologist or something.

In better news.. Kobe is so stinking smart! His grades are awesome and he loves to learn. Here is his latest grade card

While waiting for Doc K to come in Kobe read me a book about mosquitoes. He was pronouncing words I was shocked he knew. 

Craziness

Since Indiana has crazy ass weather we had SEVERAL snow days and delays. We now are paying for them. Kobe's normal school day is, dropped off at 7:55am and picked up at 2:50pm. Since we have to make up all the days we missed because we already used our "Built in" days we are having to start earlier and get out of school later. School Starts at 7:50am and pick up is 3:40pm however today being the first day when I arrived at the school at 3:29pm the kindergartners were already outside waiting to be picked up and half the parents weren't even there.. When told dismissal is 3:40 I'd think it meant that's when the kids would come out. We were out of the school area by 3:34.. but whatever lol

Saturday the weather was wonderful.. We were able to be outside with out a jacket. We cooked out.. we sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air.. Then Sunday we had flurries pretty much all day.. Coats had to be worn.. That's Indiana for ya!

Soooo over it!

I'm soo over it. as in this snow!, Winter!, Cold temps!, this cough I've had for over a month!, my messy house!, my no energy!, and so on..

I've been so "not myself" that I didn't even give Kobe the birthday party he always had in the past.. I didn't go all out like I usually do. I just made him a cake and at the last minute invited my sister's family and my brother over to our parents to eat pizza and have cake. The weather changed the pizza part.. since it was snowing like crazy the small "pizza, cake and ice cream party" went to hurry open your gifts, blow out candles and eat some cake.. I forgot to even go buy ice cream.

I started to get emotional because it wasn't fair to Kobe. I mean we can't control the weather, which isn't what I was getting emotional for, it was because I didn't give him the birthday party he wanted or I guess I should say *I* wanted. But on the long drive home that took way longer than it should have thanks to the snow, Kobe told me this was the best birthday ever! I'm glad he thought so because I thought it sucked..

I did make his cake this year. He's really into Duke's of Hazzard.. Thank you CMT for the reruns lol

Our friend Paul gave Kobe his model of General Lee he made.. Kobe was in Heaven!

We got Kobe an Xbox360 for his birthday which he was totally pumped about!

Mamaw and Papaw got him his very own tablet

Aunt Amanda got him Lego Batman 2 for his xbox 360 and Uncle Adam game him money so I guess he did have a really good birthday after all.. I did promise him that he could pick 2 friends and we would go bowling.. or 1 friend and go to a movie.. so we'll see how that goes lol
