Ringin' in the New Year

We rung in the new year the perfect way... With family (blood and non blood lol). Although some backed out on us at the very last minute we still had a good time and too much food.. But let me tell you kids + late bedtimes = lots of tears, fighting and whining lol Kobe is in his room tucked in his bed by no later than 8pm. well staying up to watch the ball drop got the best of him. But he made it and so did Mom.. lol I was up way past my bedtime too lol. Even tho I'm just 28 I am an old lady lol. I put my jammies on as soon as I know I don't have to go anywhere else for the evening. But we made it and had a good time.. We had lots of laughs, a few fights, lots of food and good company. Amanda brought a new board game that she bought called "Last Word" it was really fun.

 Olivia made cupcakes in her Easy Bake Oven :) She was so proud of them..

 We even let creatures in our house LOL this is what BumbleBee and The black Spiderman's baby would look like LOL

 Super Heroes were at OUR party... be jealous LOL

Mommy/Son date!

Kobe and I went on a mommy and son date Thursday morning. Although if you ask Kobe about our "date" he will correct you that it in deed was NOT a date. We just went to the movies LOL. Sheesh 5 years old and is too cool for a "Mommy/Son date" lol He sat so still and didn't move a muscle wouldn't even take his coat off. Didn't even try one morsel of popcorn (He had no idea what he was missin lol) not even one sip of coke.. FULL blown caffeinated coke. He sat there and didn't even change expression on his face.. I whispered to him "Do you like the movie?" I get a quick nod yes, he didn't even look at me... so I offered popcorn, coke, help to take his coat off.. and I got short quick nods of No.. So I let him be... Several times I offered popcorn and a drink and it was always nods of no.. Finally when the movie was about over I whispered again "Are you having fun?" He  turned and looked at me with this huge grin on his face and shook his head yes and then kept looking at me smiling..

As soon as the movie was over we walked out to the lobby and he asked if he could play some video games.. I told him I only have $1 cash so that's all he could play. He played 2 games and was content. As soon as we got in the van it was like a switch was turned on and I had my chatty Kobe back.. ate the rest of the popcorn we brought with us and drank the watered down coke.. and talked the WHOLE way home about the movie and all the parts in it.. I asked why he was so quiet in the theature and his response "Mom, your not supposed to talk in there." hahaha Love this child of mine :)

Christmas Vacation!

Kobe and I have been playing with his toys he got from Christmas... today we pulled out the Lincoln logs Uncle Adam and Anna got him. I requested those to be bought for Kobe.. He always takes the Jinga Blocks from the Jinga game and tries his hardest to build a house.. So I knew these would be perfect for him. He really studies the instructions to see how it's built.. he was so proud of the house we built :)

 We had a fun day playing and organizing his room so his new stuff has places to be put. Although later on in the evening he got into some trouble was sent to his room and was grounded from his Deer Hunter game.. this is the note I was left. "Kobe love Mom, Mom do not love Kobe"

Its SNOWING!!!

Finally 2 days after Christmas it snows lol.. My weather bug on my laptop says 39* I can hear the snow melting lol.. Its that real heavy wet snow.. But good for making snowmen :) Kobe made his first ever snowman all by himself.. he was very proud!

And we are still gathering :)

Monday Mom and Dad stuck a turkey in the oven and we all chip in some sides and we all gathered at Mom and Dad's house for another dinner.. After dinner we played HeadBandz That is such a fun game.. and kinda hard too lol.. We all enjoyed it and had alot of laughing

This year I made alot of goodies... I made my first time ever Pumpkin Pie..

I also made my Uncle Jeff's homemade Cheese cake.. its very time consuming and made me nervous lol good thing I had alot of Chocolate chips because I scorched the first attempt when it said to melt chocolate and sugar together lol the whole time I was thinking *double boiler* but I didn't do it and what did I get??? BURNT chocolate LOL.. So I threw it away and got smart...

Look how messy it was though? In fact.. look how messy my WHOLE kitchen was...

 Don't worry... Glue and medication was not ingredients in the Cheesecake

I also made mock peanut brittle... this is the BEST thing EVER!!!!
All it is, Karo Syrup, sugar, maybe vanilla I can't remember and Peanut butter.. and pour over Corn Flakes..

Grandma and I attempted Microwave Peanut Brittle.. and we failed.. not once but twice LOL..  We don't know what went wrong.. but the second time was good just not the peanut brittle "look"
 we were going for lol.. I don't have a pic of that.. But I do of the Divinity and Fudge we made...

Very Merry Christmas (Day)

We were up and at it by 5:30AM... Why you might ask? Well it wasn't because Kobe was up and ready to tear into presents.. it was Momma! I could barely SLEEP because I was sooo excited for Christmas morning. Last year it was just Kobe and I and we lived in a 2 story apartment and he was down stairs unwrapping while I was still snoozin away.. I was CRUSHED when  he came running in my room to "tell" me what Santa brought him.. He had strict rules this year to not go in the living room, to come straight to Mommy and Daddy's room and wake us up before he even looked in there lol. This year we woke him up..

About 8:30 we went to pick up Clayton and Mikayla and headed to Jason's Parent's house to have Christmas with them and all his sisters. His Dad made pancakes and sausage.. We ate and then opened presents..

We didn't get to stay long though. Which I hated that.. but we had to still have Christmas with our kids at our house before we had to take them back by noon :( So it was kinda rush rush.. So we headed home so the kiddos could unwrap presents from us..

We also went to my Grandparents and had dinner at 5pm but I forgot my camera at home :( so no pics.. But it was a great day!!!
