Hornaday = FUN Day!

Today I only had one child I watch so we took off to Hornaday Park.. Its the best FREE thing to do around here.. even it it is a 10-15 minute drive. First we headed to the Splash Park..
It was sooo cold at first I thought to myself that this might border line on Child Abuse LOL.. But they loved the water no matter how cold it was..

After about 45 minutes of that.. we headed on over to the play ground.. the park is sooo nice.. and HUGE.. they have a play ground for older kids with monkey bars (which Kobe scared the crud outta me on) and swings and jungle gyms.. The kids loved it.. plus they have wooden swings with shades over them for the parents to sit and watch the kiddos...

The kids played for about 30 minutes and then got hungry so We packed up and I got them a nutritious meal and drink.. We came back and had a little picnic.. After that they wanted to go to the "baby part" to play.. since no one was there and I was done being scared by Kobe's stunts on the big boy stuff I was more than happy to play down there.. they had such cute things to play on...

 WHAT?!?!?! McDonalds isn't nutritious? hahahaha Dang there goes my "Mother of the Year" Award.. shoot..

Memorial Day Weekend

Thursday night we headed out to Glendale and camped all weekend with my parents, brother, sister and niece. It was sooooo HOT!! But thanks to this little guy,

It wasn't too bad over by our campsite.. I was very Thankful for my dad's furnace fan lol
Friday night Kobe kept waking up crying every hour if not more. I couldn't figure out what in the world was wrong with him. Then Saturday Morning he woke up with bites ALL over him..  They were so bad I about started crying when I would look at him. So I sprayed him good with bug spray and he went off and played .. well I left the camp ground about 11:30 because I had a baby shower to go to.. I won the first game there.. lol Whoop Whoop lol

But anywho.. when we got back to the camp site.. Kobe came up to me and his bites were worse.. they were huge and swollen.. so I came back in town and took him to Quick Care. He was acting, well... just NOT Kobe. He was sluggish.. Dr. Lohano (Kobe's Family doctor) was working and he said it was just a bad case, the worst he's ever seen, of bug bites and he was sluggish because of all the poison in him. I told him I get chewed up like that too.. so he looks at Kobe and shrugs his shoulders and says "You get new Mom then" lol thanks Dr. L. He sent us off with a Rx for some strong Benedryl to take for 5 days. He slept in the camper with my parents the last 2 nights to prevent more bites. His bites are still visible but nothing like what they were.. Thank God.

Other than the HOT weather and the annoying bugs we had a great time camping. Although my foot was swollen for some reason the whole time.. and I have bug bites all over my ankles and feet. Check out that tan line LOL.. I NEVER tan so I'm proud of this faint line lol

Every night except Saturday night (because I took Tylenol) I woke up to SEVERE Charlie Horses. Friday morning I had one in each leg at the same time.. it was BAD. My legs are still sore from the cramps. My back is chewed up too.. So maybe I didn't have a good time LOL.. No I did. I love spending time like this with my family.. But Tent camping is rough. However our queen size, double decker, air mattress was very comfortable and kept air in it well. However I am NOT unpacked. As I glance over to my right I can see the mess of camping sitting here in the living room.. I try to ignore it but I can't lol so I guess I'll get on that soon.

Last day of Kindergarten!

I can't believe Kobe is officially a 1st grader now. It just doesn't seem right. 1st Grade seems so old.

May 18-20 (2012)

First off this is what my son looked like when he came home from school Friday lol

Friday night.. I went on a boat for the first time EVER! I was sooo nervous.. My brother Adam called to see if Jason and I wanted to go fishing with him and the girl he's seeing. It wasn't bad.. but I shouldn't have had my first boat experience at night. It was peacefull. The stars were so bright. There wasn't a moon Friday so that made the stars seem even brighter... It was very romantic actually.. until we kept hearing this noise. It sounded like someone was throwing huge rocks into the lake. Only thing is it was over on the tree line where it would be hard for ppl to be over there.. Adam shined the spot like over there and we couldn't see anything but big huge splashes and eerie fog looked like a scene from a horror movie.. We first thought it was fish jumping until we realizes the splashes were too loud and big for fish. So Adam shined the spot light over there again and we didnt see anything.. by this time I was scared lol I just knew it was Big Foot and he was going to come over and get us. Jason thought maybe it was a bob cat trying to get the toads close to shore.. That's almost worse than Big Foot. We FINALLY found out what it was.. a BEAVER lol it was smackin its tail on the water to try to scare us away.. It won.. I was scared lol.. I was just relieved to find out it was not Big Foot lol.

Saturday was Kobe's last soccer game.. I'm sooo bummed to see it end. He did soooo well this year. I was sooo proud of him. He scored alot of goals this season. They had a real good season. Only lost 2 games. They don't really keep score.. but of course the kids always do. They lost their last game 2-3 but Kobe had one of the 2 goals that were scored.. Kobe had an AWESOME coach this year.. Shannon (Cox) Strange.. she is awesome.. she taught Kobe alot about soccer.. and made him very interested in it. I can't wait til he's more mature and learns the game alittle better.. I think he'll be really good in the years too come. Kobe's little team did really well.. I'm proud of them all.

After Kobe's game Saturday.. Mom and I headed down to New Albany for my cousin's Fiance's bridal shower.. We had a good time.. but it was a long drive.. 2 hours. I got too see her be herself around her family and friends and I understand why TJ fell in love with her.

While I was down in New Albany.. Jason and Kobe went with my dad and Adam to the river fishing. They pulled onto a sandbar and let Kobe get out and run around.. he collected a bunch of seashells.. he was very proud of them ;)

Mother's Day was a success! Jason let me sleep in both Saturday and Sunday.. THAT right there was the best part of my gift lol. Although my precious guys still showered me with thought full gifts.

Kobe made this at school. He came in the house smiling from ear to ear. He was soooo proud. Then told me that several kids on the bus tried to destroy it and he cried and a big kid told the others to stop.. Why are kids so mean?

Jason got me these gorgeous daisies.. I love daisies.. they are my favorite flower.. I'd take a Daisy over a Rose any day... and of course my Hallmark Blooming flower.. from the guys .. I love them.

We had a cook out at my cousin Jacob's house. The kids swam and had a good time.. it was only in the lower 70s that day and Jake just filled the pool up but that did not stop the kids lol. Although they were shivering they stayed in for a little bit.

This past Thursday night was Clayton's preschool program.. he did soo good.. I had to try so hard not to burst out laughing at the kids and their screeching singing LOL
